they're on my drive but it's been a challenge getting them up anywhere after that. my daily upload limit on trom is 5gb and my three hour usually goes over that, so then I have to mess around in Handbrake to try to get the file size down to fit in that, changing the settings every time based on the activity in the stream (just chatting, fast action game , etc) and it's a huge pain in the ass so I haven't really bothered yet 😩
Its ok if there isn't an archived version anywhere, I just wondered. BUT I might have a solution for you.

That page asks the question how to reencode a video to a specific size using ffmpeg. (ffmpeg is the engine behind Handbrake, and is open source and very widely used)
Part way down the page is a script that automates the process, and I'm just trying it out - seems to work well. Specify video filename and size you want and it does it.

Its a BASH script for Linux. I don't have the skills to convert that to a .bat or a powershell script on Windows, if that's even possible.
If you've got a Linux machine, great! Or, have you instaled or ever used WIndows Subsisytem for Linux (WSL) in Windows? It's from Microsoft, it's free, and it runs a linux machine in Windows. It's remarkably good.
So there are options to automate the re-encoding of your video and make it easy to do, but lots of setup first.
(but once its setup, subsequent runs of it are as easy as typing
./resize.sh myvideo.mp4 1024
which would resize myvideo.mp4 to a file size of 1024mb regardless of it's original file size.
Eh don't worry about it, I can upload the shorter videos for now and worry about the bigger ones later. luckily as long as I adhere closer to my scheduled 3 hours is usually under 5gb so I can upload it straight 😅
Having read about it, I'm intrigued to try it now - it's been a few years since I played with WSL and it seems to have been improved a lot.
My feeling is that (once setup) you'll be able to type a couple of commands, go off and make lunch, come back and the video file size will be reduced without the quality being too degraded
I'm intrigued to try it out!

As part of my new year's resolution to not only make angry rant videos, I decided to do some light-hearted dancing and lip syncing to a classic song of my youth (and one of the very first Youtube viral videos), "The Numa Numa Song" (aka Dragostei in its native Romanian language). As you can see, I am a very good dancer who totally knows wtf she's doing. This video is not silly at all, how dare you.

Topless Topics 2023 New Year's Resolutions - and how I plan to achieve them!
Finally got this video out! I really wanted to have it out on the first of the year, but stuff kept getting in the way (that's the life of a content creator with young children for ya x.x ) anyway at least it's still January! nervous laugh
I'm still working on the handmaid censored version of this video to put up on Youtube--I'm really trying to get my videos out quicker, even if I can't guarantee they'll have the best quality. I'm also actively looking for a video editor, web developer, social media manager, etc. to free up more of my creative time and energy for filming new content, I'd really like to start releasing at least one (somewhat) high quality video per week.

in reply to Cleo of Topless Topics • • •The biggest concern I have so far is that, as they warn on their Adult Content page, sometimes the @#$@#%holes over at Stripe and/or Paypal will suddenly jump in and get your account closed for "selling pawrn," and gumroad can't do anything to stop them. I already went through my own bullshit with stripe (details at www.toplesstopics.org/fkstripe ) but beggars can't be choosers I guess, and we all know how american-focused companies hate and revile female nipples as "nudity" and "nudity" as "sexually explicit."
So I'm worried I'll put a lot of work into putting my photography up for sale on gumroad, only to have some trolls report my account and get me banned (as they've done so many times already to so many other places).
