they're on my drive but it's been a challenge getting them up anywhere after that. my daily upload limit on trom is 5gb and my three hour usually goes over that, so then I have to mess around in Handbrake to try to get the file size down to fit in that, changing the settings every time based on the activity in the stream (just chatting, fast action game , etc) and it's a huge pain in the ass so I haven't really bothered yet π©

That page asks the question how to reencode a video to a specific size using ffmpeg. (ffmpeg is the engine behind Handbrake, and is open source and very widely used)
Part way down the page is a script that automates the process, and I'm just trying it out - seems to work well. Specify video filename and size you want and it does it.

Its a BASH script for Linux. I don't have the skills to convert that to a .bat or a powershell script on Windows, if that's even possible.
If you've got a Linux machine, great! Or, have you instaled or ever used WIndows Subsisytem for Linux (WSL) in Windows? It's from Microsoft, it's free, and it runs a linux machine in Windows. It's remarkably good.
So there are options to automate the re-encoding of your video and make it easy to do, but lots of setup first.
(but once its setup, subsequent runs of it are as easy as typing
./resize.sh myvideo.mp4 1024
which would resize myvideo.mp4 to a file size of 1024mb regardless of it's original file size.
Eh don't worry about it, I can upload the shorter videos for now and worry about the bigger ones later. luckily as long as I adhere closer to my scheduled 3 hours is usually under 5gb so I can upload it straight π
Having read about it, I'm intrigued to try it now - it's been a few years since I played with WSL and it seems to have been improved a lot.
My feeling is that (once setup) you'll be able to type a couple of commands, go off and make lunch, come back and the video file size will be reduced without the quality being too degraded
I'm intrigued to try it out!

I don't know how much interest your ads will get, but there's almost 70K subscribers, and at least some of them are there for the equality angle.
