A Monday where I’d like to say Hi! To all the friends and folks who pass by my stream but are still catching a few seconds to enjoy to rare beauty of a rock. Specifically a rock that’s a geode someone opened in India to discover—
omigosh, fluorite crystals and hematite globular red spheres clustered like giant beads with a chain of smaller ones that are hung on clear crystals. What a wonder of nature. I think about the conditions and the time it took to result in this formation. Mahodari Quarry, Nashtik Co.,India Seen at the TCC showcase in February, Tucson #Crystals #Minerals #Geode
PS I would so appreciate it if you know a person from this area of India or who lives anywhere near the vast mining areas there who can comment on what the residents think of or observe from the intense search for specimens of great value, along with rare earth minerals. I’m guessing vast tracts of mountain land is being stripped down and turned to slag heaps.
