HOLY SHIT! My friend, #BrendaNorrell 's computer was attacked! Please donate if you can and share!

"Hello Readers,

Censored News computer was targeted and destroyed last night. Our last post published last night was on the weaponized drones over the border.

Before that, we wrote about the Mohawk Mothers, MK Ultra torture, the search for childrens graves, and the new documentary, 'The Truth is Buried: Mohawk Mothers vs McGill University.'
Our article included the words of Heather, an Epstein survivor trafficked as a child by the US Border Patrol in Tucson.

This week's articles include an investigative report on the alarming proposed data center by a Native non-profit that is collecting blood and DNA of Cheyenne River Lakota in South Dakota.

Censored News most viewed articles this week include those by #OpheliaRivas . Ophelia's new book, 'Significant Impact' documents the 10 spy towers constructed by Israel's Elbit Systems
on the Tohono O'odham Nation. Ophelia and co-authors successfully completed a book tour in Arizona.

The good news is that Censored News has increased by millions of page views in the past couple of years. In September, we had nearly a half million views. Censored News has no ads, salaries or revenues. We are a service to Indigenous
Peoples and human rights. This is our 20th year. Censored News was born out of censorship."

#BreakingNews - Violent Arrests Underway at #Lochiel #TreeSit: #GrandmotherCottonwood Cut Down -- '#NoBorderWall'

The Last Remaining Grandmother Cottonwood Cut Down Just Now after Violent Arrests at NO Border Wall Tree Sit in Lochiel

By #BrendaNorrell, #CensoredNews, Oct. 5, 2026

#LochielAZ -- "After violent arrests at the tree sit in Lochiel this morning, the last remaining grandmother cottonwood was cut down. Screams could be heard during violent arrests around the tree that many have come to love. #Oodham women joined in the dramatic #protests, standing in front of massive #BorderWall construction trucks.

"Laiken Jordahl said, 'Just horrible footage of #DHS contractors toppling the last of four #AncientCottonwoods to build double border walls across the #SanRafaelValley. The wall cuts through the key remaining #WildlifeCorridor for #endangered #jaguars between Arizona and #Sonora, where human border crossings are seldom seen.'

" 'A #ProtestCamp had occupied and protected this tree for more than 60 days, halting construction. The camp was raided and campers were arrested this morning."

" 'This wall will effectively lock the remaining jaguars in the U.S. into solitary confinement, while permanently marring one of the last remaining #WildPlaces along the Arizona border.'

"Screams can be heard as a woman is attacked and thrown to the ground in a violent raid on the Lochiel tree sit at the border, east of #NogalesAZ.

" 'You're stepping on her!'

" 'There's barbed wire there!'

" 'Come now! US #BorderPatrol illegal and violently invaded camp. Multiple violent arrests. Camp standing strong against genocide and tyranny,' was the alert from #TierraLibre, #NoBorders this morning."

Honoring the #Movements and People who Inspire us. #Warriors, #Writers and #Dreamers -- A Thread Runs Through Them. #CensoredNews 20th Anniversary.

'Know who you are, and never let anyone take your power from you.'

By #BrendaNorrell, Censored News, August 30, 2026

"We're coming up on our 20th anniversary at Censored News, and we are honoring the warriors, leaders, writers and dreamers who make Censored News possible.

When the Mohawks came for the border summit in 2006 and 2007, it was, as they say in the movie Casablanca, the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

Along with the Mohawks, leaders, writers and dreamers through the years became a sort of collective which makes Censored News what it is, a service to #IndigenousPeople and #HumanRights.

We lost many of our best, #Lakota Warrior Woman #DebWhitePlume, our longtime friend #KleeBenally, our French translator #ChristinePrat, and many more. But thanks to those who keep sharing their work, we keep Censored News going. This summer our page views increased by millions, thanks to their labors of love.

Today, we celebrate the movements and people who inspire us, as we celebrate our 20 Year Anniversary at Censored News."

#Queer #Activists Are Living in a Tree to Stop #Trump’s #BorderWall

In southern #Arizona, a predominantly #queer and #femme #ProtestCamp is risking arrest to protect a #cottonwood and stop a $500 million border wall project.

by John Washington, August 12 2026

Excerpt: "#KateScott, one of the key organizers on the ground in #Lochiel, said that despite the constant leering, clamoring construction, horn honking, and general unpleasantness of the local construction crews, 'a peace permeates this land.'

"She and others refer to the #CottonwoodTrees as 'grandmothers' after what she described as an ' #Indigenous women youth-led #solstice ceremony' that took place in Lochiel in late June. Scott, who is a co-founder of the #MadreanArchipelago #WildlifeCenter, was one of the first activists to try to protect the #cottonwoods as part of a broader effort to stop border wall construction.

" 'The #bees, the #MonarchButterflies, the #WildOregano,' Scott said, listing the species she and others have marveled at and taken comfort in. 'And all the while the #grandmothers are guiding us.'
Scott reflected on how it was a 'great loss' to watch the hundreds-year-old cottonwoods get destroyed.

"She’d spent much of the summer camping out near or directly underneath the cottonwood. This moment, she said, felt like a tipping point. 'I think people will be emboldened by our actions.' "
