It was great we could pull off this demo. I was not sure if the DNS part would work on not, hats off to Athul for figuring it out.

We can now use it as demo in any booth / stall we setup.

This can really make people think if they really need such a shitty deal with big tech companies just to be able to talk to each other.

Though next step of actually leaving big tech will need much more courage.

Yesterday, I talked about how we prioritize features to implement in the #Prav app (based on #XMPP ).

In a nutshell, a poll is created on codema.in and the community members vote by ordering the features in the poll. When the poll closes, we get an ordered list of the features and then we implement them.

The first day of #PravConf2026 has concluded—and what a power-packed day it was! The conference was held at the St. Thomas Institute of Science and Technology (#STIST) in #Thiruvananthapuram (in #Kerala, #India). We also saw a large number of students coming in from neighbouring colleges, even braving a sudden burst of rain.

We met at Athul's home and worked on some tasks like designing backdrop, deciding how many people we need to order food, fill in many talk proposals etc

Ordering food is a challenge because many time only a small number of people who registered actually turn up at the event.

Our registrations crossed 91, but we will see how many of them turn up #prav #xmpp

The immediate concern about this PR is resolved.

Sohail, who sent the PR agreed to rewrite it without using an llm.

So we are now working on an #llm policy for #prav contributions now.

My personal preference is to accept if it is #PublicAI like publicai.co

#Prav recently got a contribution for a high priority feature with a bounty.

This was generated using an #LLM and we don't yet have a policy on accepting or rejecting such contributions.

Currently the community is discussing formulating a policy on LLM generated contributions and meanwhile whether to give an exception to this particular contribution or not.

The topic is deeply controversial and we have different opinions in the community.
