How hard was it to get set up? How close does it stay to upstream? Does it take a lot of resources? Does it break often?
GoToSocial + Yunohost:
How reliable is it? Do you find yourself having to go withoput the most recent Masto features often with popular apps?

I've been running a GtS instance for 1.5 years and it's pretty solid already. A few features missing, but no issues so far during upgrades.

in reply to rwa • • •Yeah, I'm really just looking at one for me, so with #GoToSocial adding editing in the next version, I think this is the way I'm leaning, although I'll have to figure out a web frontend, too.
I think I may be one of the only people who doesn't love #Phanpy. To be clear, I don't hate it. It's just a bit cluttered for my tastes.
What other frontends are people using? It sounds like #Pinafore development has been discontinued? Maybe #Elk?

Maybe it's the Mastodon App, or Mastodon itself. I've been using Yunohost for many years without significant issue.
I hear a lot of people complaining about updating Mastodon.
