Same James Pasternak that recently travelled to Israel for “briefing” photo op with the Israeli government? Same.

“James Pasternak has been working to get pro-Palestinian protests deemed non-Charter protected activities, calling them “mobs”.“

msn.com/en-au/news/other/toron…

Councillor James Pasternak is up to speak about continued protests in his ward. "Some have even gone so far as to spread disinformation that the war in Gaza was genocide. Some believe that calm can be restored if you raise the Palestinian flag. The reality is these protestors will not be satisfied."

in reply to Francisca Sinn

“The photo has sparked confusion amongst Torontonians, with many wondering what purpose a municipal-level politician could serve by visiting a foreign state.

There is also the added layer of Israel’s war on Gaza, which has killed at least 70,000 civilians. In October, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would be arrested if he set foot on Canadian soil and charged with the war crimes his army is committing in occupied Palestine”

Personalization is coming to journalism whether newsrooms build it or not.

The real question is where it lives: inside surveillance systems and intermediaries, or in reader-controlled tools on the open web.

Here's what I think should happen.

in reply to _marco_

@_marco_

@arturcoelho @DiogoConstantino

in reply to João Pinheiro

in reply to _marco_

in reply to _marco_

@_marco_

Sim, claro.

@arturcoelho @DiogoConstantino

in reply to _marco_

@joaopinheiro @DiogoConstantino
in reply to Diogo Constantino

@_marco_ @arturcoelho

Fosgasse, o ministro disse mesmo aquela enormidade....

Victoria Sharp disallowed 5 activists to reduce their sentences after pouring red dye into the Victoria Fountain

The court acknowledged that the protesters' rights under articles 10 and 11 of the ECHR – protecting freedom of expression and assembly – were engaged in the case

However, Sharp noted that Judge Perrins correctly rejected claims that the activists' conduct constituted a proportionate exercise of those rights

Sharp is sitting on judgement on #PalestineAction review

@TCMuffin I have a feeling the review will be published between Boxing Day and NYE to minimise the furore, even though Parliament and the courts will be in recess

I was in court on the last day. Of course, I'm not legally trained, but I thought PA was clutching at straws with a lot of 'whataboutisms' rather than the definitive position The Crown held

I hope I am wrong

I'm not sure what the next steps would be

Supreme Court?
