direct x strangely had better performance on proprietary drivers
fullscreen: 25-35fps, a bit chunky. low + performance: 35-40fps, a bit better
2560x1440 - pretty smooth 40-50fps. performance, high - 38-45fps, bit chunkyer
fullhd - 55-70fps, can add some quality: balanced fsr, high preset - 45-60fps
best way is 2560x1440 with medium+performance. smooth 45-55fps. in bigger location - 35+fps, playably smooth
playable also in fullscreen, medium+ultra performance - 30-40fps, but a bit chunky

model and shadow to low - same fps but less chunky

this time i will be testing phasmophobia. this game doesnt have a linux-native version, unlike baldurs gate 3, and only directx is an option (dxvk). i expect some surprises from this seemingly lightweight game
first, i decided to wait till processing of vulkan shaders ends. that was pretty long. now its 85%, and it takes more than 1-2 minutes per each percent, hope itll speed up soon
okay if anyone will donate me 1$ on my russian card, ill wait till this processing ends, but now im skipping at 87%
grafton farmhouse, 1920x1080, medium quality, balanced fsr. playable 35-60fps. will try to achieve similar result with other resolutions
2560x1440, half textures, hard shadows, anti-aliasing off - 35-50fps, playable
5120x1440, low, almost everything is turned off, performance fsr. 35-60fps! for you to understand, you dont need really high quality in phasmophobia, so low is playable too. and there is some space to improve it a little

so yes, you definitely can play windows games with new foss nvidia drivers! i dont have cyberpank or witcher installed right now, but ig with fsr and medium-low quality they're also playable, if not in native resolution, then in 16x9

ig the performance is 60-80% of proprietary now, that is really impressing. also, now we have tools like #fsr to improve it, and its actually not that bad
