Also I just found out someone created a weird port of #MK2 for the #NES! It's quite playable, but you have to get used to only having the A and B buttons hehe

What are the controls like? I guess a+b to block would work.
in reply to nichecrush

@mrbee Nah you have to press Back to block. Basically B is kick and A is punch. A lot of the special moves work like on Genesis. No Finish Hims at all though
in reply to GM7077

Damn I finished the game!

After beating about 20 opponents, sometimes in doubles (no real boss at the end, a weaker Shao Kahn is fought at random times), what you get is this flashing screen hehe

I'm going to kick off the Halloween season with a horror movie classic I've actually never seen before: Hellraiser (1987)
in reply to Hank G ☑️

Grading on a curve for 1987 and a total budget of just $1 million ($2.7 million in 2024 dollars) and I'd say it was pretty good. Very gory, graphic, and violent. That's what you kind of expect from a 1980s horror movie with occult themes.
in reply to Hank G ☑️

Definitely a classic of the era. The budget is kind of surprising, I would not have guessed that it was so small.

On a related note, check out Nightbreed, also directed by Clive Barker, It came out three years later, is less gory, and is a much better story IMO.

“Being a woman in tech is insane. We do not work in the same moral system model as most of the people that we interact with daily and we can’t talk about it, because when we do, we are the ones portrayed as crazy or hysterical.”

This is such an excellent piece by @irene – you should spend a few minutes today reading it.

New ways of producing steel, including electric arc furnaces, hot stamping machines and so on, are presenting new metallurgical advances that have unique uses in the production of vehicles. Every pound of excess weight that is removed from a vehicle shaves off $3 in fuel costs over the lifetime of the vehicle, and in the aggregate that adds up, particularly with electric vehicles.

Since Jill Stein only shows up every 4 years I wanted to quickly remind everyone, not just of this photo, but how notoriously difficult to it is to have access to war criminal Vladimir Putin, let alone *a seat at a table with him*. Backing Jill Stein is willful ignorance.

@Bwasscher @ankostis@libretooth.gr @skykiss Dude is a “we hateses the West so very much and loveses their enemies, yes we do” kind of troll and a scroll through their posts will reveal that. Anyone rocking up to a post like this with an entrance like that is just trying to stir up shit, anyways. Best to block and move on.
