If Canada digs up, sells and ships 20 billion tons of oil it is responsible for removing 90 billion tons of CO2 from the air.

At more thsn several hundred dolllars each ton removed, Canada would have (will have?) a bill of many trillions of dollars owed.

If Canada ships it oil, Canadians will owe the world many trillions for carbon capture.

Trillions, many thousands of billions

WILL owe. Out of tax dollars

From you. While they burn your world

If you’re secretly approving a hyperscale data centre powered by fossil fuels in the middle of an agricultural disaster caused by climate pollution, then you should expect to be questioned.

Which probably explains why no one wanted to answer any of my questions. None of the provincial government ministers acknowledged my emails, Sturgeon County promised to get back to me but never did. Meta did not respond either.

Is everyone in denial?

It is absolutely amazing how many people have no clue what the first few verses of the famous anti-Nazi poem, "First they came for..." was:

First they came for the Communists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Communist
Then they came for the Socialists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist
Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a trade unionist

It seems people only know the last two verses:

Then they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew
Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me

‘A working paper that I released last month quantifies that cost. Using US Customs and Border Protection land-crossing data and public employment records, the paper estimates that the drop in Canadian visitors cost US border communities between 10,000 and 30,000 leisure and hospitality jobs, with associated earnings losses of $0.5 to $1 billion per year.’thewalrus.ca/american-workers-…. #cdnpoli #tariffs

August 4th EKOS poll is showing the #NDP "bounce back" at 17%. If accurate, these are 2021 percentages. Not bad at all for 5 months under new leadership.

The Alberta government has been talking about its AI data centre strategy for at least two years and just now decided to create a few web pages defending it. Hmmm…I wonder what could be happening to force them to do this? 🤔

As Nate Glubish has been saying at every news conference about data centres, and recently repeated at the Meta announcement, “We know what’s best for Albertans!!”

The new website pretty much screams that same message to everyone.

Ontario Green Party leader, Mike Schreiner, calls on provincial government to pause all new AI data centres until more is known about their impact on the environment, energy grid, people's health and jobs.

🚨"There are also serious concerns about who actually benefits from the construction of these AI data centres", adding he believes corporations are benefitting from local water meant for communities.
