The crypto industry’s SuperPAC has spent more money lobbying than any other corporate lobbying group besides the oil industry since SuperPACs became legal.
I’ve always wondered when the tech industry which makes so much money and has so much to lose from poor regulation would start lobbying at scale.
I’m both surprised it never really happened in big tech AND that crypto did figure it out and has legitimized itself with massive spending on lobbying.
In a new documentary, Bezalel Smotrich says the Zionist goal of conquering parts of Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and Saudi Arabia is part of Israeli public discourse.
Israel's far-right finance minister, made the comments in a recently released documentary: "Extremists in Power".
When asked about his goal, Smotrich tells the interviewer, “I want a Jewish state … It is a country run according to the values of the Jewish people.”

Trying to upgrade my #selfhosted mastodon instance to v4.3 and getting an error after the upgrade when trying to load the web UI: ActionView::Template::Error (Webpacker can't find inert.css in /opt/mastodon/public/packs/manifest.json
Trying to precompile the assets on the mastodon Docker container fails because node is not installed (and I’m not root so can’t install it) and on the streaming container fails because there’s no ruby.
Any ideas?

Israeli occupation forces today demolished two water harvesting ponds in the village of Jalameh, located north of Jenin, reported Wafa news agency.
According to Radwan Shaaban, head of the Jalameh village council, Israeli forces raided the village with a military bulldozer and destroyed the ponds, which are owned by local Palestinian residents Abdullah Arafat Farahna and Mohammad Suleiman Ghunaim.

At war, destroying civilian housing and infrastructure is an international crime.
As far as I know, Israel, as the occupying power, has not yet directly declared war on the West Bank, and in my opinion this makes the whole thing an even bigger crime.
