The only correct way of improving is battling your old you to death in a coding match. That's like a fact.
PS: Good work as always Shane! I don't understand a lot about bevy but i have it in my radar and keep and eye on it and your work. Nicely done! Nice day!
@YoSoyFreeman [Laughs.] This is a new perspective for me: auto-temporal rivalry. Must train harder.
Thanks! Really appreciate the kind words. Happy to see you living your best Godot life.

This generated electricity gets immediately used by whatever you got running. Excess energy, though unlikely with just 800W, will get through the meter into the public grid (without compensation).
A battery, while possible, is usually not part of the setup. It's really just a very simple setup of 1-4 solar cells (for example 4x 200W or 2x 400W) directly plugged into your internal house/apt. grid. The very simplicity is exactly, why this form of solar power has become so popular in places.

in reply to Harka • • •@Harka ah that would be a lot more effective being wired in that way, except that would require an electrician in my country. The advantage of a battery is to store excess (or unused excess) for some days and utilise it later when at home.
I have a rooftop system with an 11 kWh battery, and without that battery I'd waste a lot of energy that would just go unused.

in reply to Harka • • •@Harka yes maybe for Germany but in South Africa any generation connected to the grid must be approved, even on the home side of a distribution board, unless the home is isolated from the grid. So our inverters/generators need proper connection. Mine does not feed into the grid even, but because it is "connected" it had to go through all the hoops and certification.
There are many questioning though whether we need this, as I remember years ago the phone company also saying you could not connect any non-approved devices to their network, then that turned out to actually be hogwash.
