Who needs a roof when you can use balcony solar for apartments

in reply to Danie

The reason for the 800W limit is exactly, that up to that point it does not require an electrician or professional installation (per building codes etc.). It is not meant to be a full 'solar installation' like yours, just an easy adjunct or offset to your normal, on-grid use.
in reply to Harka

@Harka yes maybe for Germany but in South Africa any generation connected to the grid must be approved, even on the home side of a distribution board, unless the home is isolated from the grid. So our inverters/generators need proper connection. Mine does not feed into the grid even, but because it is "connected" it had to go through all the hoops and certification.

There are many questioning though whether we need this, as I remember years ago the phone company also saying you could not connect any non-approved devices to their network, then that turned out to actually be hogwash.

Three-letter word for “X follower, perhaps.”

My colleague Elizabeth Lopatto spotted a bit of shade thrown at Elon Musk’s X by yesterday’s New York Times crossword puzzle.

It got me wondering: What other answers would work here?

State taxation--and state lotteries--put government in a terrible conflict of interest regarding gambling, the most regressive tax of all:
‘A serious disease’: Congress weighs federal gambling crackdown amid growing concerns

I remember when all these lotteries started, and all the predictions of how it would work out. It worked out exactly that way: very badly.
in reply to Jeff Jarvis

Sports betting has grown into a large enough industry to lobby their way out of extinction. With the current administration, I don't see any chance of increased work against gambling addiction. In fact, the opposite. We'll see privatization of state lotteries - with a promise that having "professionals" run the lottery the state's cut will be bigger. But we all know the states will get less.

The only correct way of improving is battling your old you to death in a coding match. That's like a fact.

PS: Good work as always Shane! I don't understand a lot about bevy but i have it in my radar and keep and eye on it and your work. Nicely done! Nice day!
