Note that only 22% of independents would blame Dems for a shutdown. 34% of them would blame the GOP and 22% would blame Trump, a total of 56%. A shutdown is clearly likely to be worse for Republicans.

Since I couldn't find a forum channel for exchanging information about Forte, I created one myself today. English and German are equally allowed and desired. People REALLY need to stop thinking in terms of elections. The window to start reversing Trump is much shorter. Agnostic in how that affects shutdown. But this should not be abt 2026.

A lot of people (myself included, to a degree) simply cannot fathom the Republican party ever turning on Trump. Perhaps none of them will ever participate in impeachment or invoking the 25th.
And so, many look to the midterms as the only possible chance to oust Trump (assuming we have midterms)
Glad to have Senator Gallego voting no on the CR (and cloture for it). Every Senator should vote no and stop this bad CR.
I basically offer the back of my hand to any dog that wants to sniff it.
If they seem amenable to petting I go with "safe" back of the head petting and try to gauge their approval rating. Assuming their owner and the dog seem comfortable with it they then get the ol side of the chest patting.
I fuckin love dogs.
