Any ideas on how to take motor off this plastic fan blade?
Can’t find any screws or pins holding it on. I’ve tried just yanking really hard, and wedging stuff between the two—nothin, didn’t budge at all. Sure feels like one of those one-way friction-fit sorta things. Lmk any tricks.
So our $18 10yo box fan blew up recently. Starter cap thing on it gave out magic smoke, in-plug fuse also popped.
Taking it all apart “for fun” (to find root cause, and rescue any remaining parts “worth” “saving”).

in reply to Amro has been • • •@amro the only screws I could find on the motor are all coming in from the fan side (which is in the way, so I can't get to them). I do see the shaft goes all the way through the motor too (I can see the center of the shaft spin) but don't see any cir-clips that are accessible either).
Second suggestion on heat. I'll need to try that.
