Today's picture brings a taste of Ancient Greece.
The Jockey of Artemision was cast in bronze in about 150 BCE, and discovered in an Aegean shipwreck between 1926 and 1937. It has been on display in Athens only since 1972, and this picture of the jockey's head - a detail of the whole - dates from only a few years later. The figure is thought to represent a boy of about 10, who may well be of mixed race.
