Went out birding this afternoon and ended up at the Samsonvale cemetery, by Lake Samsonvale. I spotted a few birds there, and then this lone Green Catbird, which was most unexpected as they are usually rainforest birds and this was very much scrubby bushland.

A medium sized bird (about the size of a Bowerbird) perched in a young eucalyptus tree. It is green all over, with the wings being a darker but vibrant green and the head and body a less vibrant, lighter green spotted with much lighter/white spots. It has a pale beak that comes to an axe-point in profile.
