#Journal of a "slightly" annoyed Dutch Pixy (Thursday, 31/07/2025).

I had a so-so night, where I was able to get some on again, off again sleep, and some cuddles and snuggles with Bas from time to time. When mum came down to let Bas out for a quick wee, I got up and dressed. When mum was getting dressed upstairs, I prepared every thing for her breakfast and then for mine. After we were both done, mum helped me with my shoes, so that I could go out with Bas while she was away to Germany and Nijmegen.

I wrote a my journal Toot and when I was done with that, Bas was going from the back door to the front door and then back again, Which usually is an indicator that he needs to go out. So, I took some effort to get his harness on, and we headed out for a short walk. Bas didn't want a bigger one, but during the short one, he did all the things he could do, so I think I read him right, and he really needed the loo break.

When we got back, I went back to my tablet and I tried to write a half-assed decent email to a sweet friend. When I was finally done with that, Bas had been sleeping a while and when he got up, it was the time of his "usual" walkies, so when I asked him if he'd be interested, he quickly came to the door. We walked a bit longer this time, which he seemed to enjoy. We got back again, and I changed my clothes so I could relax a bit with an ice pack, as my bruises were being very mean to me.

I relaxed a bit while watching some telly. Then mum came home, so I helped her with the bags. She relaxed a bit, and after a while, we went out with Bas. Mum wanted to try to trim the weeds in my front garden some, as it was looking more and more like a seriously unkempt area. Even though I had it almost clean before I went into the hospital the first time... Those weeds grew so damned fast...

I tried to help mum a bit with getting the rake and bin, and by using the rake and my crutch, I was able to heave larger amounts of weeds into the big bin rather easily. When I could not help mum anymore, I tried to relax a bit. As. even though it seemed easy to help, it did take some spoons of me. When I saw it was near 15, I thought it was time for mum to end it for that day. I made her come Choco cappuccino and a glass of cool water with some ice cubes. I went out and tried to get her to stop and come inside. After 15 minutes of "let me finish this first", she finally quit and came back in with me.

We relaxed together with some telly. I had a scratch on my leg that itched, which mum thought it could be from a prickly weed. She gave me some stuff that should help with the itch. Well, I can safely say that yeah, it really didn't itch when I used that...! It hurt like hell! (apparently the skin was damaged a bit). I yanked my leg, which of course was the right one. And earlier that afternoon, I had twitched it badly as well, as there was "something" crawling on my leg that I tried to shake off (it was a spider and fortunately, I didn't bite me). So this was the second time in a short period where I used my leg in an uncontrolled way, and it didn't like me for that. 😔 So when mum wanted to head out with Bas, she went alone this time.

Mum gave Bas his dinner and after a while, I made dinner for mum and myself. We watched some more Punisher, we're almost through the last season, and we had a relaxing night. Then, it was time to get ready for bed. We prepared everything, and mum walked Bas one last time. When mum went up, it took a few minutes, and then Bas came to join me on the bed.

He didn't spend all night with me, but most of it. I was awake a few times, but it was nice to be abe to cuddle and snuggle with Bas. It helped me to relax a bit. When Bas jumped off the bed around 6:30, I thought it was because mum was awake. But mum was not up yet, and Bas went to the front door a few times. So I quickly put on my pants and fake crocs, and Bas and I headed out... And thus, I had started my day...
