Well, in real economic terms, wages have fallen dramatically and people are buying less stuff.

Meanwhile, at last check Qantas was charging over $600 for flights between Melbourne and Sydney between Christmas and NYE. That's on Jetstar. From bloody Avalon Airport!
Because a big part of the issue is corporate oligopolies where two to four companies carve up an industry.
Look at the banks, the telcos, the supermarkets, the airlines, the media conglomerates...

So by trying to reduce inflation, the RBA ends up causing more inflation!

Now if only we had some sort of political party that sought to govern in the interests of people who work for a living. A "labour" party, if you will.
They could tackle some of those structural issues.

Modern Monetary Theory and Doughnut Economics is the answer, the main global proponent of which (Stephanie Kelton) has visited Australia and had a meeting with Jim Chalmers. So Labor KNOWS the solution, but chooses to ignore it and carry on with neoclassical economics which will eventually lead to environmental/economic collapse. State Capture!

Saturday is with us, the weekend has finally arrived. I came home early from the shop yesterday as I was feeling a little unwell, nothing I could put my finger on, just not 100% I'm going to see how I feel this morning, before I decide if I'm going in this afternoon 🤔
I introduced more people to role playing games through Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Other Strangeness than any other game.
My DnD 5e GM over the pandemic was someone who learned RPGs from my cousins as teenagers and I introduced them to RPGs by running them through #TMNTAOS when we were in middle school. They went home, bought the game, and started introducing it to their friends.
Thirty some years later, I started playing with one of them online whom I had never met before.
Oh my god! I'm exactly the same! I got it for my birthday as a kid (it was the second RPG I'd ever had after D&D) and was obsessed with it and introduced a bunch of my friends to it. So much nostalgia.
