Lastiger wordt het natuurlijk als dit onder het internationale uitleveringsverdrag blijkt te vallen.

Voor wie geen zin heeft om dat uitleveringsverdrag helemaal te lezen:
Nederland is volgens dat verdrag VERPLICHT om mensen uit te leveren, ook als het haar eigen onderdanen zijn, ook als er niks bewezen is, ook als de volgens de VS strafbare daad hier is begaan in plaats van in de VS.
De enige voorwaarde van belang waarmee je uitlevering kunt voorkomen is dit: "Uitlevering wordt niet toegestaan wanneer het strafbare feit waarvoor zij wordt verzocht volgens de aangezochte Staat van politieke aard is of samenhangt met een strafbaar feit van politieke aard, dan wel wanneer wordt aangetoond dat het verzoek tot uitlevering met een politiek oogmerk is gedaan."
Maar sinds de "antifascisme = terrorisme"-motie werd aangenomen door de Nederlandse Tweede Kamer, is dat nu al een stuk lastiger geworden.
