I see zero. I know this is a fedi issue, but I hate it. @calculsoberic any way to fix this?

As far as I'm aware, it's a limitation of ActivityPub and there's no way to fix it on either the user's or admin's side. Unless the post is local to my instance, I find it best to open the source and view it from there if I'm curious about the stats. From my Pleroma account, I see 5 repeats and only 1 favourite, while from Misskey, I see 7 renotes and two reactions.

I dont know how to view the original. Im on mstdn.social site. The ellipses don't have an option for viewing it on it's own instance.

Is there a way to force update a post for this instance? I could have sworn there was.

I know you can force-federate a remote post but I think that's only if the local instance hasn't encountered it before. It's been a while since I ran Mastodon so something might have been added, but it would still be a manual process admins would have to do for every post. If it was user-facing, the feature could easily be taken advantage of and used to DOS other instances.

I'm *thinking* you can middle- or control- or right-click > Copy Link the timestamp to open it on the remote instance. It's been a while, so I don't remember all of Mastodon's oddities though. Misskey and Pleroma both just have buttons for it

Triggered!!! 😄
MANY moons ago I had to code the monthly employee newsletter and then print it to one of three shared printers in another part of the building. Who knew those end brackets were so important?
