What distro are you using?

!Linux Users

Hi,
I know it is a cliche. And not (especially) useful.

But I think it is an easy way for people to say 'hi' by replying in this (potential) thread.

So, I am using Bunsenlabs. @BunsenLabs Linux
bunsenlabs.org/

It is a niche Debian distro. It is just plain Debian but with an Openbox GUI and a bunch of nice customization and distro specific tweaks.

Very minimalistic. Lightweight.

It one of the offshoots of the late CrunshbangLinux .

I like it. The Bunsenlabs community is a bit like this here. Small.

Hey, I'm quite partial to Arch, personally. I've been using for years on all my computers and I really love it. It's great for trying out different desktop environments as you can install them in parallel without conflicts. The rolling release model really helps with stability and the AUR has everything one can imagine. The little pacman animation when updating really sells it too. 😄

Alpine for all VMs, Debian and/or Proxmox for most of the hosts. I also have a Batocera machine for retro gaming. That's it, no desktops.

Hi! :) MX Linux with XFCE desktop. I think it is the best choice for my kind of user who wants things to be simple, straightforward and lightweight. For example it makes my mothers's old 2009 Core2duo iMac rock and she is able to do all she needs with it. Great for reviving an old computer.

I use Arch Linux(KDE Plasma, maybe one day hyperland) It's the best OS to conform To most enviroments and uses. I've used it since 2020. but been on the fence since 2001, WIndows has been a hard drug to get out of my system. Still got a used Macbook for recovery from 2015. I value the flexibility of my System and Easy windows conformity. I've struggled due to Vegas Pro editing being my death bed.

Linux Mint. For my daily work computer I want it to just work.
