Got your hands on the brand-new Fairphone (Gen. 6) and wish it came deGoogled?

Good news: the /e/OS build is now available!

🛠️ You can easily install /e/OS using our /e/OS Installer (e.foundation/installer/) or do it manually (doc.e.foundation/devices/FP6/i…), and enjoy a fully privacy-respecting experience.

You want to get the device with /e/OS pre-installed? Order the Murena Fairphone (Gen 6) directly at murena.com.

the installer page doesn't work with my browser and suggests to use either edge, opera or chromium. That's a surprising way of degoogling.

I got a FP (Gen 6) with pre-installed e/OS/

(very happy with that !!!)

Q: Will the e/OS/ automatically upgrade to new (stable) versions when they get available, or is it something I must trigger manually ? Cheers

does this mean fairphones are shipping now? Saw the website had changed to September, but I've gotten no communication about my order being delayed or any more precise date

Cool. But we are still waiting for /e/OS 3.1.1. Actual release (3.0.4) is top buggy (camera zoom, ...).

It feels good, and after a few days I feel right at home.
There's just one thing I'm a little confused about at the moment. I logged into my Google account in the App Lounge. I can install apps there, such as the DWD warning app, but app purchases don't work.

Any ideas? Suggestions? Help?
