I don’t think I have ever mentioned my birthday on any social platform, not even myspace or whatever. I was raised to believe my existence was unfortunate and to be elided, and life did nothing to suggest I should change that belief until I hit a hard inflection point in my late 40s. Anyway it was my birthday this week! And I feel decent about it, and y’all are basically the first people I have felt comfortable enough around to mention it.
