OK, after a crappy customer service experience and some concerns over privacy I'm on the hunt for a Zoom replacement.
Best would be something that emulates their 'Webinar' mode, i.e. allowing hosts and presenters to share video/sounds/screens, etc, while the audience engages via a text chat mechanism.
What's out there folks?

Says on the main trom.tf website
After that you can become a moderator. And anyone can use this method to create multiple streams at once.
Cheers!

Jitsi Meet. Many companies and communities use Jitsi as the basis for their video conferencing tools. You can use it from the official website (meet.jit.si/) or via a community-hosted service (like call.trom.tf/ cited above), or via a company-hosted service (like Infomaniak: infomaniak.com/en/ksuite/kmeet).
Other people have also recommended Whereby, which I have used in the past. However, the free tier was limited to 30 minutes, so I mostly preferred Jitsi Meet.

To what extent can it function in 'webinar' mode, i.e. with only select people allowed to share video / audio / screens, and can you record events?
