Tobacco, a nightshade, is another poisonous perfume note. Tobacco absolute is extracted from cured & fermented tobacco leaves using petroleum ether or hexane and then processed with ethanol to make it a liquid. Tobacco absolute used in perfumery contains no nicotine or toxins.
