Linux doesn't have apps, some people say? Well here are 12 cool ones that I either learned about pretty recently, or that I feel don't get enough time in the spotlight :)

If you like #SuperFile, take a look at yazi. I have used them both extensively, and while SuperFile is arguably pertier, I've found #yazi to be far more usable, especially over ssh.
Also, I wanna say I remember you talking about posting videos to a #PeerTube instance as well. Do you, or am I remembering this wrongly?

in reply to Nick @ The Linux Experiment • • •I tried out LocalSend this morning to send some photos between my phone and laptop and it worked like a charm (once I figured out I needed to disconnect from Proton VPN). Thanks very much for this recommendation!
With thefuck, the version from the official Github page has a broken dependency for the Python imp module (which I learned was replaced by importlib in Python 3.12). In case someone else runs into this problem, I was able to make it work with the following changes:
In both conf.py and types.py:
1. Comment out `from imp import load_source`
2. Add the following replacement for the load_source function:
def load_source(module_name, module_path):
import importlib.util
spec = importlib.util.spec_from_file_location(module_name, module_path)
module = importlib.util.module_from_spec(spec)
spec.loader.exec_module(module)
return module
Nick, for your video, did you use a fork you can recommend?

Ce truc était une tuerie, ça marchait hyper bien.
Quel gâchis !
