People who are happy that devs are losing jobs due to AI and then call them "poor engineers" or say they deserve to lose the job because they are "bad" in the first place. Just because your job is safe or you have tons of money in your Bank doesn't give you the right to call others "bad" or "meh" engineers. Have some compassion for humanity. Many first-time engineers put a lot of hard work into learning while fighting poverty or coming from an underrepresented group.

We have done a detailed analysis of AI on coding jobs and the technology is far from being able to impact the job market right now. Maybe in 10 years if the tools are improved and adoption becomes super quick. Only the uninformed are in panic.

@roko Actually I just realized that I'm not contradicting your statement in any way, just pointed out that there are systemic issues which makes this worse for people. And we're both preaching for compassion towards other humans, so we're basically on the same boat I guess 😄
