I kind of like the fact that 2nd largest Fediverse platform, and the fastest growing one too—Misskey—doesn’t use Mastodon’s API.

Could potentially be a problem for client developers but then again, @apps managed it just fine.

@Chris Trottier, I assume by "apps" you mean phone apps that connect to Misskey? When I read that, I thought of the widgets and plugins features it has. I think those make it and its forks more cooler than a phone app ever could.

I don't understand why people aren't leaning more on ActivityPub, and investigating pre-existing implementations for maximum compatibility where it doesn't suffice. We have the W3C ActivityPub standard, is there a way to propose inclusions where they are required?
