Sorta jokin with that, sorry. Years ago, it was the goto editor for many folks, including myself. You really couldn't find a better editor that wasn't going to empty your pockets. The interface however, was hideous. Everything's worth a try though, you might find it's just what you've been lookin fer. The current version is called Cinelerra GG and it looks to be a fair bit nicer than the one I was used to using. I haven't really given this latest one its fair shake so I don't really have an opinion as to its goodness. These days, #blender is more than capable of solving all my video editing needs.
