This seems to me like this is a feature table built to push #Calckey as ""better than #Mastodon ... and other trendy names"" more than it is a fair assessment of features amongst different AP flavors. Firstly, the organization of columns for each platform is a mess. Both #Calckey and #Foundkey are #Misskey forks yet they are scattered with #Calckey at the front of the list. If it's at the front because it is more feature-complete, why then is it followed immediately by one so far down on that features list? Why with #Pixelfed being so drastically different, has it been selected for comparison to these others and not #PeerTube, #... show more

Why with #Pixelfed being so drastically different, has it been selected for comparison to these others and not #PeerTube, #Lemmy, #WriteFreely, #Funkwhale, or anything else? Why leave #Friendica out of the lineup when it has a far more similar use-case to the others than #Pixelfed? On the list where it says "Mobile app", obviously this doesn't account for the #PWA that many of these have out of the box. The #PWA for #Mastadon #Misskey, #Calckey #Friendica, #Akkoma, #Pixelfed, #PeerTube, #Lemmy, and #diaspora all work brilliantly on #android, I would expect that #PWA being what it is, they'd work similarly well on #iOS.
The ordering has no real basis besides Calckey at the start, given this chart is for the calckey website.
Pixelfed is closer to traditional microblogging social media than the others you mentioned. Friendica doesn't have a mention because I never used it before, and thus cannot make a fair comparison.
PWAs are great (I'm a big advocate!) but they are not mobile apps.
Ahhh, got it! Seeing it now on calckey.org it makes more sense. So it is to push Calckey then. πππ Not sayin there's anything wrong with that, the chart just stood out to me as odd at first. Partly cause your name only shows as https://calckey.social/users/9aprgabaeb and no picture in my feed. Didn't realize who you were till you replied and I went to diggin. It's your chart, for your stuff, make it how you want.
I don't run any of my own but I have played extensively with all the ones I mentioned. I'd be happy to provide supplementary user-side input if you ever need any.
And sorry about my confusion. Although I'm sure I did (usually do), I didn't mean to come across like an asshole.

Unknown parent • • •You only mean #migration b/w #Akkoma instances, not accross platforms (e.g. from #Mastodon to #Akkoma)?
Who about the preservation of
a) contacts and
b) own posts as well as
c) replies to them from others after moving?

Unknown parent • • •Thanks, @m, for taking the time for this rather in-depth answer. π
Allow me a quick two-part follow-up question:
If I migrated from #Mastodon to #Calckey, could I bring my posts, too.
Could I keep the #Mastodon account despite the #migration, to archive the #convos/#threads?
