These are "issue" peas. They were used as a means to counter irritation by being placed inside a running sore or ulcer, to promote secretion and discharge of pus. The name is misleading as they aren't actually peas but dried immature fruit from the orange family.

In 1892, Assistant light keeper Rose, wading through swampy waters between the keepers’ cottages and the light tower, was attacked by a crocodile. He climbed one of the light station’s telegraph poles and was rescued by the head keeper in a dingy.

Have you made sure your default posting visibility is correct?
This is the visibility setting that all your new posts have, unless you manually change that post's setting when writing it.
Some people set default to be "followers only" and forget about it, then are surprised no one can see their posts except followers. It can also go the other way, people being surprised their posts are public.

Blocking is a separate issue from visibility settings, that's why it's not on that page.
Visibility settings determine who can see a post by default (public, followers-only or specific people?).
Blocking is about who can see your public posts and interact with them, and who can follow you. This is more complicated and has its own guides:
