Explanation: During the day, over 12,000 large mirrors reflect sunlight at the 100-megawatt, molten-salt, solar thermal power plant at the western edge of the Gobi desert near Dunhuang, Gansu Province, China. Individual mirror panels turn to track the sun like sunflowers. They act as a single super mirror reflecting the sunlight toward a fixed position, the power station's central tower.

You can get a much, much better experience in PeerTube if you bypass Apple and Google by using PeerTube web apps instead.
The PeerTube web apps let you sign in with your account and do everything you'd do on the website, plus the benefit of using your phone's notifications system and having a full window interface.
Here is how to install web apps for PeerTube servers (or any other kind of Fediverse server):
i could never figure out how to upload from mobile using the web app. the native apps have no option for uploads but the web app just doesn't complete the upload.
If it is free and open source software, you can put all the features you like in the version you provide to F-Droid. Fully half, I suspect, of the Android users in the world are bypassing Google.
