Firms that have a large number of workers receiving welfare targeting people in poverty are receiving indirect government subsidies.

Or put it more simply, Amazon warehouses are subsidised by your taxes.

I'd like to see you and some other big name economics people pitching the plan that every city, county, state, and yes, the feds, should send a bill to every for-profit company each month for the total cost of government aid their employees received (without names, of course).

If they don't pay up, their occupancy and business licenses are removed until they do, with penalties and interest.
