I'm proud of myself today... I managed to create a personal web page that's a svelt 7 kilobytes in size, excluding external assets. It's nothing but HTML 5, a bit of CSS and some microformats sprinkled in since it's my official H-Card. No JavaScript, PHP or any other heavy lifting required... just fast and responsive. Whoopsie... Knocked my poor laptop off the bed and on to the floor. Think hardwood laminate laid over what effectively is a cement floor. Laptop is fine, just had to flip it over, press down lightly where the panel on its underside popped loose from the frame, and life's good again. Thank goodness it's a well built device.
