Sotres is the highest village in the Picos de Europa National Park. A bit tricky to get here on the narrow winding road, but well worth the trip! Sotres is so beautiful that in 2024 it got an award from the princess of Asturias 😄 It's also famous for its blue cheese and is the starting point of some spectacular hiking trails in Picos de Europa.

Can you believe this is not Switzerland? We went for a day to this beautiful place just to see how it is. Sasha also found an abandoned villagge and some cute cows. Picos de Europa is now on fire, and it is such a shame because it is a wonderful natural place.

By 1936, Catalonia was fully under the control of the workers, led predominantly by the anarchosyndicalist union, CNT, and the Iberian Anarchist Federation (FAI).
