María Corina Machado is back in Venezuela after more than 10 months in exile. Footage showed the opposition leader arriving at a church in Lara state on Sunday, greeted by supporters, and Edmundo González wrote that "our leader, my dear Maria Corina, is on Venezuelan soil." Her team says she made seven failed attempts to return in September alone. The 2025 Nobel Peace laureate comes home to a country run by acting president Delcy Rodríguez since US forces seized Nicolás Maduro in January. Rodríguez has stayed far beyond her 90-day mandate and has not called the election she promised at the UN in September. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio credited "U.S. supported reconciliation talks." Trump: "I don't know anything about it."
