That heat wave in Europe was a contributing factor in the death of my friend.

People may say shit about how these extreme weather conditions are merely taking out people who were already old and had other health conditions-- vulnerabilities, dammit, but the smug jerks never call anyone such a sympathetic word as "vulnerable" when they're writing folks off as expected and expendable losses, that might suggest the elderly or sick or disabled etc need protection-- and yeah he had a very long and full life, but you know what?
It would've been really nice if his wife could have had a couple more years with him after their honeymoon, instead of a WEEK.
