The promotion of ignorance through arrogance is staggering, one only has to scroll through random news feeds to see that the only thing the majority of news publications care about is ratings, how do you get high ratings, not by delivering truth, but by pedaling and pandering to the un-educated, by interviewing those that are in a position not because of actual intelligence but because of proximity to the puppet masters, burn all the books, shut down all the schools, cancel all the research, by all means bring back the dark ages, and with it the famine, disease, death, stagnation and collapse of the civilized world, all for the grandiose narcissistic fame of the moment;

On today’s Wisdom Wednesday, Aliyah Patrick read Proverbs 15, with special focus on Proverbs 15:31:
PROVERBS 15 — WISDOM LISTENS
Proverbs chapter 15 teaches us about the power of our words, the importance of humility, and the wisdom found in receiving correction.
The chapter reminds us that a gentle answer can calm anger. God sees everything. A wholesome tongue brings life. Wise people seek knowledge. Prayer matters to God. And those who receive correction grow in understanding.
But here is the challenge:
You cannot grow in wisdom if you refuse to receive correction.
Sometimes correction comes through God’s Word. Sometimes through the Holy Spirit. Sometimes through wise counsel. Sometimes through our experiences. Sometimes through consequences. And sometimes through someone who loves us enough to tell us the truth.
Correction may sound like:
“Watch how you speak.” “Listen before you respond.” “Let go of your pride.” “Be willing to learn.” “Choose differently this time.”
Proverbs 15:31 challenges us not merely to hear correction, but to receive the life-giving instruction within it.
Correction is not always rejection. Sometimes it is God’s protection, direction, and preparation.
