🥬💚 This is a painful sight for any farmer who puts their heart into growing food. Our cabbage leaves are heavily damaged, with holes everywhere. What could have caused this, and how can we save the remaining crop?

A commissioned painting of a farmhouse in northeast Scotland, looking down over the various buildings (and ruined walls) but missing out large sheds which would prevent us seeing the countryside in the distance. 24/06/26: Our lower field growing wild. Some days before moving the right strip with the scythe. I’ve left some flowerstrips in place. We've been very busy lately. Stupidly early starts and late finishes. The good news has been rain. 46mm last week and a bit over 50mm this week. And a bit more to come. The paddocks are turning green and in a few more days the grass will be good enough for the horses to eat. Here is the sun doing its bright shining ray routine behind a rain cloud this evening.
