The submarine effect is when you slide under the seat belt during a crash instead of being stopped by it. I've never heard of it being a thing, but if it makes the seat more slippery then A would make sense.

Sounds like something that recently been added there, and isn't in the test anywhere else. It isn't mentioned over here.
