I just realized KeePassXC supports 2 factor authentication....damn....that's really cool. Like I can save a website's credentials then 2FA for that website. No need to use 2 tools for that. It is called TOTP. Right click in KeePassXC on the website for which you want to add 2FA, and select TOTP - Setup. Now add the secret key that was generate for the service you want to setup 2FA. As simple as that. When you then login and it asks you for 2FA, go to KeePassXC and right click again on the website in your list, TOTP - Copy. That's all. Simple as fuck. soooo happy that I discovered this.

I truly recommend to everyone to setup 2FA for websites/services.

you want to use separate keepass databases though. Otherwise your userid, password, and authenticator are all in one place making it 1 factor authentication. I heard one of the KeepassXC devs explain it that way once

I've read that but this is better than not having 2FA. Having all in 1 database is ok considering that database is encrypted and local. For usability reasons I may leave it as such.

true, plus there's the keyfile that can be used, and you can use a Yubikey or the like in addition to that
