I rarely post these days....
I rarely check post....
not sure how many remember, as it was prior to the rise of Mastadon AND largely hit Diaspora segments of the Fediverse more than anything, but there was just a certain level of "high weirdness" that came on with things (particularly) like the onset of Plusplora (and it's co-founder "Di Cleverly"). One might say it was like a foreshadowing of things that would hit/are hitting in as (Ai) "agentry EVERYWARE" is socially normalized. There's just so much noise to filter through, and as that noise grows, I feel actual meaningful social interaction declines. For better or more absurd, notably after the better part of two decades of watching the Fediverse evolve, it's hard not to feel that such is driven by purposeful design.
Such all said, I still pop in now and again....
and I'm pleased to still catch things of informative interest that I hold some confidence of holding soul behind it. Special shout out and thanks to:

Rarely do people outside of mysticism acknowledge that faith, respect or praise might be necessary to "wake the spirit" in our fellow beings, depending of course on that spirit.
Still fewer people inside of faith communities which acknowledge this are willing to concede to another's position, since they believe in classical logic which tends to make their psychology both fragile and vitriolic.
So I am really trying to play both fields--which makes me on nobodies team. I would take criticism for the optimism I demonstrate that anyone else would be as interdisciplinary and curious as I am, however we here are rocking and a rolling and leaving tracks. I think that diaspora is very underpowered, and that some more oversight might lead to more constructive conversations. For example, people could meet over #values and use a portal to comment on other peoples' posts on the subject. This would encourage a spirit of conversation which is not so tied to the conversation at the post, but represents a lateral thinking towards "does this post actually represent the values it has tagged as we interpret them." This kind of thinking always seemed rational to me, but now as then we are limited to one post at a time, the results of which do not tend to bring us together.
Imagine if a debate at a post led to a synthesis of values and then a new group could emerge watching the old and the new--if a person in the group pinned a post under their rubrik, the whole group would get notified. I think the problem isn't people, it is that throughput is limited and conversation is sloppy. I would allow people to build their conversations on top of the existing #values of a post.
Outside of this dialectic, one could just throw out all verbage (pun intended) and go with music, but again and again you will see those predictable degenerations which happen when we (as the majority aging population) do nothing to represent the wisdom of the ages.
Motivating the artistic community to reach a modicum of social engagement is to me as important as humiliating the intellectuals who would try and reach clarity without a common sight line (to use a metaphor).
