I think that Ubuntu Unity videos.trom.tf/w/x2ZpopH66DPKR… was one of the best Desktop Environments. Modern, sleek, useful. Global menus, HUD....done right! Really unique. Plus workspaces...the best and most intuitive workspaces I've ever seen. Too bad it is not really that well maintained from what I know...

We bring some of the stuff in TROMjaro, like global menus and HUD. And the panel positions and such.

However despite Unity being really awesome, XFCE is a lot better since you can tweak pretty much anything to it. I wish XFCE had a sane workspace tool....and some basic animations.

Anyway I agree with @Nick @ The Linux Experiment mostly. Unity...I loved it back in the days. It made me switch from Windows to Linux.
