@lps Yep, we use Linode Object Storage, and it works great. Pretty much any S3-compatible provider should work, although you may have to deal with specific quirks of the provider to get it working.
Object Storage is a lifesaver, basically allows us to scale up and host vast amounts of video for relatively little cost.
@lps I think we’re on the 5TB tier. Yeah, it’s a bit expensive, but it gives us some room to grow. Definitely look around and compare services!
One thing that we do with onboarding new users is to point them towards our OpenCollective page, which helps offset the cost significantly. It’ll become more of a headache as the instance gets bigger, but Object Storage solved a lot of long-term problems for us.
