If it manipulates your hunger, unfollow.
If it rewards outrage and punishes thought, unfollow.
If it makes you compare your life to a fiction, unfollow.
Your peace is non-negotiable.

what does manipulates your hunger mean? Like it has advertisements for food?

Apparently #PerplexityAI CEO is annoyed that people are sharing that article where he is quoted saying that their browser will track everything users do to sell more ads.

> β€œThat’s kind of one of the other reasons we wanted to build a browser, is we want to get data even outside the app to better understand you,” Srinivas said.

This is that article, in case you'd like to share it:

As summer in the Northern Hemisphere approaches, it is important to keep in mind how temperatures are changing... 🌑️

Shifting distribution to the right ➑️ increasing societal risks from extreme heat.

The driver? Humans... The burning of fossil fuels.

In Medieval Germany, they had what was called Marriage Duels, where a husband and wife could physically fight each other.

To make things fair, the husband had to stand in a hole with one hand tied behind his back, holding a sword in his free hand, while the woman hit him with a bag of rocks.

I'm going to bring this up every time someone has a problem with No Fault Divorce.

Mark Zuckerberg wanted to fly his helicopter from his gigantic superyacht to go skiing on Swedish mountains and offered villagers tens of thousands, but they flat out refused, saying the noisy chopper would disturb their reindeer

luxurylaunches.com/celebrities…

"That billionaires would fly private jets to luxury yachts, then board helicopters to chase the last snow-covered peaks in Europeβ€”while attempting to silence Indigenous voicesβ€”is being seen as a microcosm of global environmental inequality."

I'm wanting to immigrate to TromsΓΈ. Way north. And silly American me is excited for a reindeer petting experience. I want to pet a reindeer. Why can't people just enjoy that? Why all this outrageous bullshit? I don't blame them. I'm moving to Alaska as a bootcamp for that because I enjoy quiet solitude....and reindeer.

🚨 I have another record to share - carbon dioxide (COβ‚‚) averaged a record high of 428.2 ppm in March 2025

10 years ago March averaged about 401.7 ppm

I love discovering personal blogs and websites.

No algorithm.
No competing anything.

Just a person, putting out what they want.

It's beautiful.

🧠 Assessment at the End of the Turing Test

In an era when AI can generate essays that mimic human writing with startling fluency, the question "What are we actually assessing?" has never felt more urgent.

I’ve just published a new blog post reflecting on a recent conversation with a colleague who argues that remote assessment is no longer trustworthy. Their proposed solution? Reintroduce in-person elementsβ€”even brief onesβ€”to every assessment.

But what if the real challenge isn't technological, but pedagogical?
What if the answer lies not in surveillance, but in reimagining the way we define and design assessment?

✍️ Read the full post here:
πŸ‘‰ e-learning-rules.com/blog/0019…

πŸ’¬ I'd love to hear what others think:

Can assessment evolve to meet the age of AI without falling back on control?

Are there models out there that meaningfully integrate AI while maintaining academic integrity?
