A brilliant summary of the reasons, why we got so intellectually lazy and apathetic. πŸ‘ On the other hand it's concentrated cultural pessimism - and I'd like to object to the hopeless tone.

The lack of critical reading / thinking's for sure a threat to democracy - but is this really new?
Students getting rewarded for rote memorisation instead of analysis, populism, disinformation...

I have no solution to offer, but still have hope. GenZ is smarter than we "old geezers" sometimes claim.

What is weirdest planet on our system? Yes, it is earth


Earth is a very weird planet, it has liquid water on the surface!!! Very rear! But you see it every day, and don't realised it.

4-year-old woke up this morning asking to go to the Science Centre. We explained that we can't because it's closed.
"Why?"
"It needs to be fixed and the government doesn't want to fix it."
"What is the government?"

10 minutes later he's written a letter to Doug Ford.
