Sat out, having a couple of glasses of wine before we watch the third place match a little later, under a now clear blue sky after the few light rain showers we had earlier this afternoon.
We have fields to the north and east of us, less than 100 yards either way, and yet I have hardly seen ANY insects!
Anyway I took this photo of the waxing crescent moon a little earlier.

My son was at the Argentina vs Egypt game. Just messaged me to say

"That was the most amazing game I've been to. The atmosphere was crazy, and even surrounded by Argentina fans we cheered Egypt like mad and everyone was cool. It's been brilliant."

Need for Alt Text

I am on a friendica instance that allows me to see images with #AltText (or rather not see images WITHOUT AltText), because there is a setting which says
"Hide pictures with empty alternative text (Don't display pictures that are missing the alternative text.)"
So this is what a visually impaired person would receive - how do you describe the image that has (presumably) been posted?

p.s. If there is no alt text shown here it is because I have posted from my laptop. I will check on my mobile and update the image and text there!

<a post showing the poster's identity (blocked out in this post), it comes from a mastodon instance has had one boost but there is no other information on the message. Even to a sighted person like myself it conveys nothing!>
