Finally made a short "trailer" about the channel and what our series are about.

Some news and updates :
1 - The good news our videos will be published on Ecoflix - ecoflix.com/
It's kind of Netflix for nature and wildlife documentaries, most are about conservation and restoration. It's for free, and it's great. I won't get paid anything from them, as all of the profits are going to nature conservation projects it's a "no profit" platform. But maybe we will reach new people there. So I was buys preparing 10 episodes which will be season 1 from them

2 - At the end of March, me & Mara will be going to Brussels to perform a duo music performance with the sounds of the whales at the European Commission. There will be conference about Climate Change. And we will also speak about Oceans and Cetaceans.
We also not getting paid for that, but at least our expenses are covered since Brussels is very expensive. We will also take Night Train from Vienna. Which I am very curious about.

3 - While I've been in January in Latvia I've managed to appear at 2 radio shows, had long interview at Delfi.lv - largest news platform in Latvia, and in 2 TV shows on Latvian TV. All of it is in Latvian language, so I won't share it here, just some pictures. But it was good coverage. In all of the interviews I spoke about nature protection and volunteering.

5 - Meanwhile I am looking for other project to join and volunteer. Probably in March it will be Moldavia, then there are probably will be something in Montenegro and Serbia.

So actually quite a lot of things going on even if I am not actively volunteered these month. But winter is like this, there are not many projects at this period. Everything starts in spring.

I was a bit depressed and discouraged for the couple of months, but I can't give up, somehow we all need to keep going and doing good things in life even if sometimes it seems impossible or feels like there is no point.

I have been saying for over a decade now that this "mental disorders" business is indeed a lot of business and not much science. You cannot categorize people like that and put them into boxes like ADHD, Depression, Bipolar, etc.. People's mental states are far more complex.

But it works well to have these labels in our trade-based society where everything needs to be in boxes, so that insurance companies, drug companies, or companies who employ people can "understand" that Jen is depressed, will prescribe her some pills through an insurance company, and Jen can get some paid leave.

Yet in the process no one understood what made Jen feel that way or how to fix her problems. Maybe she has little money, little time, maybe she is stress that her rent increased or her brain is a mush because her phone is consuming her life with ads and data collection. Trades trades trades.

Now Jen can anesthetize herself with some prescribed medicine, and can get back to her life soon.

So WOW now finally the people in charge of the bible of mental disorders, DSM, are starting to see through their thin diagnosis practice and say perhaps things need to change since you cannot do any medical test to see if someone has ADHD, or is depressed or whatever...

How about (I know wild idea) when people have problems we try to understand what causes these problems and try to help them!? Housing, access to free healthcare, access to a fucking life that is not about being a worker!

She is a practicing psychiatrist and a part-time academic and author. Her work is focused on the use, misuse and misrepresentation of psychiatric drugs. For 10 years Joanna was a consultant for a psychiatric rehabilitation inpatient unit, helping people with severe and long-lasting mental health problems. For the last 3 years Joanna has been based in various community mental health services in North East London. She teaches and does research at the University College London.

Joanna is one of the founding members and the co-chair person of the Critical Psychiatry Network, which consists of a group of psychiatrists from around the world who are skeptical of the idea that mental disorders are simply brain diseases and of the dominance of the pharmaceutical industry.

Lucy Johnstone:

She is a UK clinical psychologist, trainer, speaker and writer, and a long-standing critic of the biomedical model of psychiatry. Lucy has authored a number of books, articles and chapters on topics such as psychiatric diagnosis, formulation, the psychological effects of ECT, and the role of trauma in breakdown.

She is currently convening a group of leading UK clinical psychologists and mental health experts who are working to develop an evidence-based and conceptually coherent alternative to the current diagnostic systems.

We live in a world where everyone is busy, everyone is consumed, everyone seems confused. Money, social credits, ads, data collection, prices and billionaires. Climate change? Who cares!

A one-marble world, floating in a giant soup of stars and planets, clustered in donut-shaped galaxies.

What are these humans living for?

In a 5 hour, 4 parts documentary, we try to explore their world, to understand what makes them human, what makes them enslave their kind, destroy their habitat, and be unaware of their place in this universe. But also what makes them so special.

Through the lives of 5 humans, we look at the culture that creates them, their struggles growing up on this planet, and where they are headed toward.

Over a THOUSAND pages long. Comic-book style design with superheroes and characters. By far the most difficult book I ever wrote or ever write probably. This made me have a complete understanding of what this global society is made of. I even created a mega search engine to showcase how a few companies own most stuff - unfortunately I had to discontinue it since it was impossible to update....but yah this book is the achievement of my life :D

This one is a unique book in terms of the subject. Also smaller than the rest around 70 pages. The title is the core of the book and the design was also difficult and unique.

Some 300 pages and still relevant today. I looked at how the machines humans invented stack against the human machine itself. Difficult book.

Some 200 pages of pure joy. This one I really loved writing and designing.

I wrote more see here - tromsite.com/trombooks/ and I would love to write more, even if I am sure today is nearly impossible to make anyone read them. People have no patience plus they use these tiny screens (phones) so reading them in this digital format heavily reliant on a landscape design....is a no no for most.

Sad. But maybe I will publish my next content in the same format if I won't be comfortable with making videos.

Anyway, thank you past me for spending so many years creating these. They are really valuable books and they completely changed the way I see the world.
