Someone asked how hard it would be for a #Mastodon client to implement a "Following" feed like on #Cohost. Not hard at all, here's a quick prototype I made in a few minutes in @tokodon 🙂

If I were to turn it into a real feature, it need a better looking list, and filtering options of course...

This is a shame. They seem like cool people, and I've yet to hear reports of anyone having bad experiences using CoHost. I'm all for throwing everything at the wall and seeing what sticks. If their attempt to build a boutique Walled Garden had worked out, I would have been pleased to be proved wrong.

Hey #AskFedi, what is the best FOSS RSS/Atom program for Windows? With Cohost tanking, following people on platforms I don't want to be on is getting more necessary. Doing so via RSS sounds much more tolerable. I've never extensively used it however.
