It's hard to say, but I am grateful for these things:
1) It's August, and things are very light at work.
2) I have a partner that takes this all in stride.
3) Laying down feels so good to me. So many folks who really need to rest have to deal with war, poverty, smoke from fires, heat waves...I feel so lucky!

Slow start to my day today, but I made the perfect dry cappuccino so that’s a win! ☕️
I’m still exhausted from my outing on Saturday, I definitely overdid it but… I needed to get out and do something — anything — to make me feel part of the Edmonton community that didn’t involve outdoor winter activities. I had fun, but pushing my energy envelope comes with a great cost when living with #MECFS.
I won’t go into particulars, but it’s quite challenging to feel like you belong when you’re living with multiple invisible physical disabilities, while also being neurodivergent.
If you know, you know. I see you. 💜 It can be extra hard this time of year with the holidays looming, too.

Today I woke up from a nap because my cat was touching my arm. When I opened my eyes, I saw him open his mouth. He was meowing, but I couldn't hear him.
So I wrote this little poem, with a little sadness and a little acceptance. For all those sounds I love that are fading away as I become increasingly deaf...
